With long straights and a variety of corners, the Circuit de Catalunya is seen as an all-rounder, testing a range of rider skills for just under 4.7 kilometres. The track was built in 1991 to coincide with the Olympic Games scheduled to take place in Barcelona and is a firm favourite in the F1 calendar, as well as MotoGP, with testing taking place consistently throughout the season. Considered to be one of the best designed circuits of recent times, Circuit de Catalunya became home to the Gran Premi de Catalunya in 1995.
